Single and lonely are not synonymous. Being single simply means that you are unattached, and sometimes unattached means unencumbered.

As a single person you have the chance to reflect, meditate and truly get to know who you are without having to understand somebody else's issues. A relationship will not magically turn you into a "significant other", only you can do that.
